How To Send In Ps4 For Repair

not certain where this topic belongs simply im sure the mods will move it if need be.

over the terminal few months ive had some problems with my ps4 in the heart of playing games information technology goes back to the home screen then spits out the disc and the disc drive makes a grinding racket like its trying to read a disc thats not there. anyways i contacted ps back up and they send me some aircraft labels and told me i need to box it up and transport it too them and then i gotta buy a box BUT i dunno what size of box id need for information technology.

last month i called them and the issue was tempoarily fixed past rebuilding the database and was told that if that didnt ready the problem i could become a replacement sent out and id beable to exchange the sometime console for the new panel straight away merely this fourth dimension they told me i had to ship information technology dorsum to them to get it repaired.

anyone else the the Great britain had to send their ps4 dorsum to sony if so what size of box exercise i need to go? ( need to get it done asap then ill hopefully take information technology dorsum before Destiny is released )...

If they sent yous a shipping label check to run into if it pays for packing also. I oasis't returned a PS4 just a lot of times a company will pay for your packing too. In that example you just take it to an authorized agent of any aircraft visitor they gave you a characterization for (FedEx/UPS/etc). Thats how it works in the US at least.

I've got one that they refused to cover under warranty. It has some sort of cablevision or tape strip on the inside that rubs on the fan. According to them, it won't cause any damage to the fan or whatsoever it'south rubbing on, but it makes a hell of a racket. Sucks, don't want to open up it and ruin the warranty for any future bug, but hard to want to use it when information technology'south so noisy that I can't spotter movies or play games without turning the volume up to drown it out.

i dunno if i should try telephone them again and see if theyd beable to send a box to me, i checked the price for the size of box i would need to fit my ps4 in and it was similar £35 O.o which is stupidly overpriced.

What the heck? 35£ for an empty box? Just get down to the closest supermarket and ask if they have an empty box, people come up into my piece of work and practise that all the time.

Merely take information technology to a local "pack and send" place and give them the PS4/shipping label. We have a business here that does that (it'south one of the FedEx/UPS drop-off places). They'll size a box and pack/transport it for you, and you tin insist on watching them box it upwards if you want. That'southward always what I practise when I have to ship something.

yea no shit merely seeing equally i didnt know the console Dimensions were its abit hard to say what box id need else going out to buy a box that might be mode to large or way to small-scale without taking the console to post office and trying to put in it the boxes at that place to run into if it fits
